Confraternity of Christian Doctrine 
             The children, K-4th grade, receive Christian education in the John Paul II Center, Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.   Parents of the students are the teachers.    The activities include: snacks, worship, music, and fun.     Students, 5th-12th grades, attend religious instruction Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.            



First Communion
            The children at St. Francis Church will be receiving their First Communion, Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the 9:00 a.m. Mass.  Eucharist is the second Sacrament of Initiation in the Catholic Faith; baptism is the first Sacrament. 



Confirmation          
            The confirmandi from St. Francis Church will be Confirmed by Bishop Paul D. Etienne sometime in 2012.  A date is yet to be determined.    By being Confirmed, they will have received the third Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic Faith.



Catholic Youth Organization 
            This is a ministry to junior high and senior high students at St. Francis Church.   CYO meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the John Paul II Center.  



World Youth Day

Dead Theologians Society
              The Dead Theologians Society is a Catholic apostolate for high school age teens and college age young adults.  Through the Saints of yesterday, the Dead Theologians Society inspires the youth of today to become the saints of tomorrow.   Its motto is, "Dead to the World, alive in Christ!"    This is inspired by Romans 6:11 where St. Paul tells us to be dead to sin but alive in Christ Jesus.   Check the website for the name of a parish near you where there is a chapter of Dead Theologians Society.

Fellowship of Catholic University Students
             FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, is a natioanl collegiate outreach that meets college students where they are and invites them to examine the meaning and purpose of their lives.   Through large group outreach, Bible studies and one-on-one mentoring, FOCUS missionaries are equipped to introduce college students to the Person of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Faith, empowering them to share His love with the world.   For more information on FOCUS, click on their website:

Courage

           Courage is the Catholic Church's only pontifically approved ministry which is specifically committed to providing spiritual support for persons with same-sex attraction who are striving to live chastely, offering help to grow in understanding with others toward living more fully the Church's teachings.

Catholic Heart Workcamp
